Community events are special for so many reasons. They’re inspired by YOU, they come with rare items and exciting log-in gifts, and most importantly, they bring us all together! As we all make our last-minute anniversary party preparations, let’s revisit a few of our favorite events from the past year in our final Penguins’ Choice Awards category, Favorite Community Event:
Coins for Change
This special holiday event has been a part of the community for years! With Coins for Change, penguins can donate their in-game coins to help a charity in the real world. This year, our goal of 1 million coins was met (and surpassed) in just five hours! Needless to say, we spent the rest of the season celebrating our generous penguin pals.
Earth Month
As penguins, we have a lot of love for the Earth. The Welcome Plaza in Beacon Boardwalk was draped in tropical vines and flowers, adorable pandas and rockhopper penguin balloons, and comfy bean bags that looked like the world! Hard to imagine? Well, a picture is Earth a thousand words:
Winter Beach Bash
This was a small but quack-tacstic event that was all about celebrating the arrival of the Duck Tube on Club Penguin Island! Along with the new tube, penguins received a collection of fun log-in gifts that they could use during any of the three mod meet-ups that were hosted throughout the weekend!
World Penguin Day
No explanation needed here! We celebrated this monumentally important holiday with all the Earth Month decorations and received an exclusive World Penguin Day Emote pack and a Penguin Toque. Additionally, we were able to donate $50,000 USD to support efforts to protect penguins and their habitats around the world!
Blizzard Beach
Opening up a brand new zone doesn’t happen every day, which is why the grand reveal of Mount Blizzard came with beachy decorations, daily challenges, and log-in gifts! Did you collect the Snow Slider tube?!
